COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC announced the addition of three players on Friday, with former PDL standout Conner Bevans, Diego Gutierrez Chavez and Jack Jones joining the club. The signings are pending league and USSF approval.

Bevans featured for both Lane United FC and the Kitsap Pumas in the PDL, and competed collegiately at Gonzaga University, where he was a versatile player for the Bulldogs. Bevans played primarily as a forward for Gonzaga, but also played in midfield and defender roles during his senior year where he tallied 12 goals in 17 appearances.

"Conner is a player I have been aware of for some time," said Switchbacks Head Coach Steve Trittschuh. "He is versatile he could end up in various positions for us. He has a great work rate and a great attitude so he should fit in perfect with our team."

"Joining a club with a culture of success is a huge opportunity for me," said Bevans. "I am eager to contribute everything I have to my teammates, the staff and the fans. I'm looking forward to a successful season as a Colorado Springs Switchback."

Chavez and Jones both arrived on trial with the Switchbacks this preseason, and earned a place on the team’s squad for the upcoming year. Chavez had previously competed collegiately for Houston Baptist and the University of Texas at Tyler.

"I am very excited for this amazing opportunity.," said Chavez. "It is truly a blessing to be able to work hard every day and help the team achieve all of its goals for this season."
