OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC announced on Tuesday the club had re-signed midfielder Daniel Gonzalez for the 2017 USL season. The signing is pending league and USSF approval.

Gonzalez returns for his third season with Energy FC. During the past two seasons, the 24-year-old has appeared in 50 games, scored four goals and added three assists.

“Gonzalez is one of the most versatile players on the team,” said Energy FC Head Coach Jimmy Nielsen. “We always know that he can perform at any position we ask him to play. I think that he is ready to take the next step in his development. I have high expectations for him this season.”

Prior to joining Energy FC, Gonzalez played for the Kitsap Pumas, where he helped the side claim the PDL’s Western Conference Championship in 2014.

"Energy FC has a good vision, and I'm looking forward to another great season with the club," Gonzalez said.

Gonzalez joins forward Danni König, and defenders Coady Andrews and Kyle Hyland as players officially signed for the 2017 season.
