NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Six days after the club’s official launch, 2018 USL expansion club Nashville FC announced it had already taken more than 1,500 season ticket deposits as the Music City quickly embraced its newest professional sports franchise.

“We knew Nashville was ready for professional soccer, and Nashvillians have responded in ways we couldn’t have imagined,” said Chris Redhage, co-owner of DMD Soccer, which operates the USL franchise. “We still have a lot of steps on this journey between now and our first match in 2018, but we’re off to a running start.”

Nashville FC was officially unveiled last Friday at Bridgestone Arena, home of the NHL’s Nashville Predators. As part of the unveiling, the club also announced its two tiers of season-ticket deposit options, with fans able to place $50 or $25 to reserve their seats for the club’s inaugural season. Those placing a deposit for $50 became members of “The First 1779” Club, whose membership will be capped upon the purchase of the first 1,779 deposits at that level.

Both packages include the opportunity to purchase discounted season tickets, priority seat selection, access to team meet-and-greets, and team store discounts. “The First 1779” Club members will also receive a member scarf, access to premium seating, and exclusive access to additional events, content and merchandise. “The First 1779” Club is named for the year Nashville was founded, and will be offered only once in the club’s existence.

“We’re encouraging people to be a part of soccer history in Nashville through ‘The First 1779’ Club,” said Marcus Whitney, DMD Soccer co-owner. “Identifying as a member of The First 1779 will be a point of pride for Nashville FC supporters for years to come.”

After attending the unveiling ceremony last Friday, USL President Jake Edwards said he was delighted, but not surprised, at the manner in which Nashville FC had been embraced by the local community.

“Visiting Nashville last week, the passion and spirit for the city from its population was evident to not only me but the other USL officials who joined me,” Edwards said. “We believed the outstanding ownership group that makes up DMD Soccer would quickly put Nashville FC on the city’s radar, and are excited to see the team continue to grow its fan base in the coming months.”
