Republic FC looks to set new club record as it welcomes S2 to Bonney Field

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Sacramento Republic FC will look to set a new club record when it plays host to Seattle Sounders FC 2 on Saturday night at Bonney Field in the second meeting between the teams this season. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. PT.


Sacramento Republic FC news and notes

  • Current record: 7-3-4, 25 points
  • Republic FC moved its undefeated streak to eight games last Saturday as it took a 1-1 draw against Arizona United SC at the Peoria Sports Complex.
  • The eight-game undefeated streak matches the best such regular-season run in Sacramento’s history, having gone 7-0-1 between July 27 and Sept. 6, 2014.
  • Mackenzie Pridham scored the late equalizer for Republic FC against Arizona for his first goal of the season.
  • Sacramento has allowed only 33 shots on goal to its opponents this season.

Seattle Sounders FC 2 news and notes

  • Current record: 3-8-4, 13 points
  • Seattle fell 2-0 to the Swope Park Rangers on Sunday night, breaking a two-game winning streak for the side.
  • Both goals for the Rangers came in the second half. S2 has been outscored 16-5 in the second halves of games this season.
  • S2 will be without co-leading scorer Victor Mansaray on Saturday, with the forward on international duty with the U.S. U20 National Team at the NTC Invitational.
  • Seattle will complete a two-game road trip on Wednesday night as it visits Saint Louis FC in the USL Game of the Week at World Wide Technology Soccer Park.
