City Islanders look to add to Sunday’s win as they host Toronto

HARRISBURG, Pa. – The Harrisburg City Islanders will look to add to its win this weekend as it welcomes Toronto FC II to Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster, Pa. on Tuesday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.

Harrisburg City Islanders news and notes

  • Current record: 3-5-1, 10 points
  • Harrisburg took its third win of the season on Sunday evening as Aaron Wheeler scored twice in a 3-1 win against Bethlehem Steel FC.
  • The win snapped a three-game winless streak for the City Islanders, who will now try to win back-to-back games for the first time this season.
  • Wheeler is the fourth player on the City Islanders with multiple goals this season, with the club being led by Paul Wilson and Craig Foster, who have three goals apiece.
  • Wilson and Jose Barril are tied for the club lead with three assists each, which puts them tied for second in the league. Harrisburg, however, will be without the services of Barril who is serving a one-game suspension for yellow card accumulation.

Toronto FC II news and notes

  • Current record: 2-5-2, 8 points
  • Toronto was edged out 2-1 on Saturday night by the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the first game of its trip to Pennsylvania.
  • Malik Johnson scored a late goal for TFC II, but the Reds were unable to complete a comeback after falling behind to goals by Lebo Moloto and Corey Hertzog for the Hounds.
  • Toronto is now on a two-game losing streak after defeating the Richmond Kickers on May 11.
  • TFC II’s defense has struggled in the second halves of games this season, conceding 10 goals after the break in comparison to four in the first half.
