OKLAHOMA CITY – OKC Energy FC announced on Wednesday it had acquired forward Wojciech Wojcik on a season-long loan from Indy Eleven.

“I’m excited to be a part of the OKC Energy organization. I have heard great things about the club and the fans,” Wojcik said. “It’s a great opportunity to get better as a player, and more importantly to help out the team.”

Wojcik comes to Energy FC having made one regular-season appearance for Indy this season. Before joining Indy Eleven, Wojcik’s first professional experience came in Finland, where he scored twice for Ykkonen side Tampereen Ilves in 17 match appearances. He also recorded a goal during a two-game stint with Ilves-Kassat of the Finnish Third Division.

Wojcik competed collegiately at Bradley University, where as a senior he was named the Missouri Valley Conference’s Player of the Year after finishing tied for the NCAA Division I lead with 14 assists. Wojcik also scored six goals in his senior season for the Braves, and earned an invitation to the 2015 MLS Combine.

“We are excited to get Woj in as another attacking option for the team,” Energy FC General Manager Jason Hawkins said. “He has a great frame on him and is effective both in hold up play and going forward. He is a player that can serve as a complement to our other attacking options in the side.”
