New York Red Bulls II defender Noah Powder has been called up to the Trinidad & Tobago U20 National Team as it begins its preparations for the Caribbean Football Union’s first qualifying phase in June of CONCACAF U20 World Cup Qualifying.

An Academy signing, Powder has appeared in every minute of the Red Bulls II’s first three games, one of only three players in the squad to do so alongside Brandon Allen, who is currently tied for the league-lead in goals, and Derrick Etienne, who sits tied for the league-lead in assists.

The qualifying campaign will kick off in June, when Trinidad & Tobago will face off with Guadaloupe, the Turks & Caicos Isles and Saint Lucia for a place in the final round of qualifying in October.

“We’ve selected a squad of players that will come in on the first day to get acquainted with our plans and for us on the technical staff to be able to communicate from early what our vision and our intentions are with regards to getting the team ready for the start of the qualification,” said Trinidad & Tobago Coach Brian Williams.
