Roughnecks Make Pair of Defensive Signings

Former Union defender Lee is joined by Peters on the back line

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Roughnecks FC has announced the signings of defenders Raymond Lee and Anthony Peters ahead of the start of the 2016 USL season.

Lee spent last season in Major League Soccer with the Philadelphia Union. The Kansas City native was a 2015 MLS SuperDraft selection by the Union and saw action in one regular season match. Lee, who attended St. Louis University, is primarily a left back.

Peters comes to Tulsa after spending last season in the USL with the Wilmington Hammerheads. The 6-foot-6 center back has also played in the USL with the Harrisburg City Islanders and the Richmond Kickers.

The Roughnecks open the 2016 USL season on Saturday as they host Rio Grande Valley FC at ONEOK Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
