South Korean midfielder joins Colorado Springs after training with FC Dallas

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC has announced the signing of South Korean midfielder Taeseong Kim ahead of the 2016 USL season.

“Taeseong was recommended to me by an agent friend of mine,” said Switchbacks Coach Steve Trittschuh. “He spent time training with FC Dallas and has fit in perfectly with the type of game we play. I expect Taeseong to contribute a lot this season.”

Kim played two seasons for Jungwon College, and headed to the U.S. to train with FC Dallas last summer. He now joins the Switchbacks for his first professional season.

“It is a great honor to have signed with Switchbacks FC and that I have the opportunity to play soccer here,” said Kim. “I am very happy and looking forward to helping the team succeed. My goal is to play hard and be remembered as the player who gives much effort.”

The Switchbacks open the 2016 USL regular season this Saturday as they visit OKC Energy FC at Taft Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. MT.
