Partnership struck between Reno 1868 FC and Aces, Greater Nevada Credit Union

RENO, Nev. – Reno 1868 FC’s home field has a new name, as on Thursday a new partnership saw the venue formerly known as Aces Ballpark become Greater Nevada Field.

The 15-year partnership between SK Baseball, LLC and Reno Soccer Investors, LLC and Greater Nevada Credit Union includes exclusive sponsorship and advertising rights and prominent signage on the stadium's exterior façade along Evans Avenue and Kuenzli Street, the scoreboard in left-center field and numerous locations throughout the venue.

“We're very pleased to enter into this new partnership with the Aces,” said Greater Nevada President and Chief Executive Officer, Wally Murray. “We believe we share a mutual commitment toward encouraging continued economic revitalization and community development in our region. We're looking forward to Greater Nevada Field becoming a year-round venue that hosts a variety of events and programs, and provides a multitude of safe and enjoyable experiences for families, individuals and groups.”

Greater Nevada Field will be host to USL action this season as Reno prepares to join the league in 2017, with a regular-season contest between Real Monarchs SLC and Sacramento Republic FC set for June 11 at the stadium. Reno 1868 FC and Reno Aces President Eric Edelstein said he was excited for what the new partnership meant to the organization.

“We are focused on continuing to unite our community through the variety of events held here at Greater Nevada Field,” said Edelstein. “Partnering with Greater Nevada Credit Union to move this vision forward crystalizes our commitment. No longer just a ballpark, Greater Nevada Field is here to be the premier experience in Northern Nevada.”

Memberships for Reno 1868 FC’s inaugural season in the USL, and tickets for June’s contest between the Monarchs and Republic FC are now available through the club’s website, www.reno1868fc.com.
