CARSON, Calif. – Ariel Lassiter, the LA Galaxy II’s leading scorer in 2015, was announced on Saturday as the latest player from Los Dos to sign with the LA Galaxy ahead of the 2016 Major League Soccer season.

Lassiter joins goalkeeper Clement Diop and defenders Dave Romney and Daniel Steres in signing with the Galaxy’s MLS side after competing with the Galaxy II in 2015.

“Ariel is a talented attacking player who has contributed at a high level with LA Galaxy II,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach and General Manager Bruce Arena. “We are excited for him to continue his development with the first team.”

Lassiter led the Galaxy II with 11 goals in the 2015 USL regular season, and then led the league with four goals in the 2015 USL Playoffs as he guided Los Dos to the Western Conference Championship. The son of former MLS legend Roy Lassiter, the 21-year-old has competed internationally for the Costa Rica U23 National Team.
