TAMPA, Fla. - Following up the success of “Supporters Week”, launched in 2019, the United Soccer League announced that August will be “Supporters Month”, an extended celebration of the communities and fan bases across USL Championship and League One.

Beginning Sunday, August 1 through Tuesday, August 31, the USL and its clubs will pay homage to fans through a league-wide initiative as both the league and clubs transform their social profiles, highlight the incredible supporter stories around the league, and showcase fan-generated content. As the month unfolds, fans will also have a unique opportunity to interact with club and league social channels, contribute to the league website, and provide supporter-centric photos and videos to be shared across USL and club Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram platforms, and receive prizes from SELECT.

In addition, fans will have the opportunity to earn USL a “Supporter of the Week” feature through video submission and on-line voting, with the winners getting to play a role in content creation for USL social media and web channels.

“Our league and our clubs don’t exist without the support of our fans, so engaging with them through various outlets over the course of August will be fun for us,” said USL President Jake Edwards. “There’s so many incredible stories throughout our communities across the country, and to be able to highlight those is special.”
