TAMPA, Fla. – The Forever Proud banner displayed by the members of Phoenix Rising FC and San Diego Loyal SC prior to the club’s opening game of the 2021 USL Championship season on April 30 at Wild Horse Pass is now up for auction, with proceeds to be donated to the You Can Play Project, one of the USL’s partners in the Forever Proud project.

Online bidding began on Wednesday and is set to remain open through Sunday, June 27 at 4 p.m. ET.

The banner was displayed before the game which aired nationally on ESPN2 and has been signed by the players and staff of both clubs. The item is among a wide range of sports collectibles that are also up for auction, including jerseys worn by the United States Men’s National Team in its exhibition against Costa Rica on June 9 at Rio Tinto Stadium, and signed jerseys from the U.S. Women’s National Team.

Rooted in the mission to ensure the safety and inclusion of all LGBTQ people throughout the sports ecosystem, the USL is working alongside the You Can Play Project to provide League Staff and Clubs support through educational resources, advocacy, experiential marketing consultation, and community management support.
