Flamingos’ new jersey will be available for first time during Saturday match at Hart Park

Forward Madison FC unveiled its newest kit creation on Friday, introducing a multicolored, tropical-themed goalkeeper jersey. The Tropical Kit, which features a palm leaf pattern decked out in green and blue hues, will go on sale for the first time at Forward’s home game this Saturday, which kicks off at 1 p.m. at Hart Park.

The Flamingos’ new goalkeeper kit represents another break from the norm for a team that has earned a reputation with its past jerseys, including this year’s “Drip Kit” and 2019’s pink flamingo goalkeeper kit. Forward Madison designer Cassidy Sepnieski, who designed the Tropical Kit, said it gave her a chance to do something completely different.

“This alternate goalkeeper kit felt like a big opportunity to explore colorways outside of our normal palette,” Sepnieski said. “It was the most challenging in terms of getting it right on color. We delayed the launch three different times, so it's exciting to finally see it in action."

The new jersey will make its debut on Saturday, when Forward Madison’s goalkeeper will wear it for the Flamingos’ clash against second-place Chattanooga.

According to Director of Merchandising Chase Eagan, the Tropical Kit shows that Forward Madison is headed in a fresh direction.

"We want fans to come to expect us to go out of the box when it comes to our merch,” Eagan said. “We keep trying to explore new executions and different types of collections, and this kit fits really well into that. Personally, this is my favorite out of all the kits."

Although the Tropical Kit will be available for the first time this Saturday at Hart Park, fans can also pre-order it now on the team’s web store
