As the Colorado Rush approach the end of summer, we have to say goodbye to three more players: Edgar Vargas, a well rounded goalkeeper out of the University of Vermont; Eben Noverr, our captain and central back from the University of Virginia; and Jake Feiner, a pacey winger from the University of Dayton.

Today we ended a sweltering hot week of training on a great note. Training started with a bit of agility to get the team warmed up and work on some technical footwork. They then transitioned into some rondo, fitness, a scrimmage, and some finishing.

Noverr had a few things to say about training with this team this summer, “I really enjoyed coming out here with all the guys and getting the opportunity to stay sharp and have fun at practice. That’s what soccer is all about. I’m just happy I was able to do that this summer during all the crazy things going on in the world”.

Vargas also really enjoyed his time out here training this summer. He stated, “it was fun coming out here with this team. It was also good to get a couple games in this summer. I had fun working with the keepers that were here”.

In addition, Jake had an amazing time working with this team and he learned a lot that he is excited to take with him to his fall college season. Feiner stated, “the biggest thing I would like to bring back to school is the mentality of giving a 100% every day. Every single day is a fight. I have improved so much on my decision making and I am looking forward to seeing that show in some games this fall”.
