Seven players discovered through Allstate Sueño Alianza, an official player identification partner of USL Academy, will compete for five different USL Championship teams and one USL League One team during the 2020 season.

Jesús Vázquez signed with LA Galaxy II after playing for Mexican sides Tigres, Santos Laguna and Atlante. Striker Christopher Bermudez is now a member of defending title-winners Real Monarchs after an outstanding season with Greenville Triumph SC last year in USL League One. Edwin Lara, a veteran of the FIFA U17 World Cup in 2015, joined expansion club San Diego Loyal SC.

Midfielder Kevin Partida returns to Reno 1868 FC after making 19 appearances for the Nevada club in 2019. El Paso native Louis “Chapa” Herrera will play his second season with El Paso Locomotive FC. In 2019, Herrera was one of El Paso’s top players, appearing in 28 matches and completing 90.7% of his passes for his hometown team.

In USL League One, striker Ricardo Zacarías has joined Chattanooga Red Wolves SC after playing for Mexican clubs Club América, Irapuato and La Piedad. Zacarías will have a fellow Alianza product for a teammate in Leo Folla, who played three seasons with F.A. Euro New York in USL League Two. All seven players will have unique opportunities in USL as they strive to continue their professional development, thanks to the efforts of Allstate Sueño Alianza.

USL teams have attended the Allstate Sueño Alianza free tryouts in different cities throughout the country since 2017, and each year the Alianza de Futbol tour provides a unique opportunity for undiscovered talent in the United States to impress professional clubs.

Players can register for the 2020 tour at alianzadefutbol.com. To learn more about the USL Academy platform, visit usl-academy.com or search #USLAcademy on social media.
