Philosophy

To provide an opportunity for elite women soccer players to showcase their talent for Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) and other professional scouts and coaches.

When and where does the combine take place? 

The combine will take place in Tampa, FL from Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27th at the Ed Radice Sports Complex in Northwest Tampa. 

What are the costs involved for the combine?

Player Fees:
$375 - Level 1
$385 - Level 2
$395 - Level 3

The Combine Fee covers local transportation, meals, lodging, and player kit. *Participant is responsible for travel to and from Tampa.

How can you participate in the combine?

Anyone is welcome to apply for the W-League Combine. Your player resume will be requested to complete the application process which includes a $10 application fee. Upon acceptance into the Combine you will be prompted to submit payment of the appropriate player fee listed above. Although there is a rolling admission process, the deadline to apply is Friday August 14, 2009.

How are you selected for the combine?

Six W-League Divisional coaches have been identified that will assist in the initial selection of the top 90 players who have the ability and aspiration to play Women’s Professional Soccer. The Divisional coaches will provide a list of players to the League based upon the following criteria:

1 Goalkeeper
5 Defenders
6 Midfielders
3 Forwards

The top 15 players from each list qualify as Level 1 participants and will be extended an early invitation to the Combine. The remaining players on each list will be considered alternate candidates, Level 2 participants. Level 3 participants will be selected from the open application process.

July 30 :: Level 2 Combine Invitations Sent
August 7 :: Level 3 Combine Invitations Sent
August 14 :: Online Application Ends
August 28 :: Deadline for player to provide confirmation, flight itinerary, picture and bio to the League
