CARY, NC -- The Carolina RailHawks edged the Real Maryland Monarchs 1-0 on Tuesday night with a late game penalty kick by midfielder Kupono Low in the 90th minute in the second round of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.

Jamil Walker drew the foul when he was brought down in the box by Real Maryland goalkeeper Emilio Zelaya.

The RailHawks now will host Major League Soccer’s Kansas City Wizards with Kerry Zavagnin and 2006 World Cup US National Team member Jimmy Conrad on Tuesday July 1st at 7:30 PM at WakeMed Soccer Park in the third round of the tournament.
