The Charleston Battery (USL1) topped the Houston Dynamo 1-0 in extra time Tuesday night in the third round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The Battery’s Stephen Armstrong netted a 108th minute penalty to push the Battery through to the quarterfinals against F.C. Dallas.

City Islanders advance to Open Cup Quarterfinals
The Harrisburg City Islanders knocked Major League Soccer’s DC United out of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup with a 1-0 decision Wednesday night, becoming the second USL Second Division team and third overall in USL to move onto the Quarterfinals of the tournament.
