TAMPA, FL -- The hosting scenarios for the Second Round of the 2009 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup were announced by the US Soccer Federation. The Second Round, to be played Tuesday, June 16, features the 16 winners of the First Round set for Tuesday, June 9.

The pairings, as previously announced, were set into regional groups of four prior to the draw for the First and Second Round. The only group in which the host for the Second Round is will be determined from the two First Round opponents is Group 1, which features the Reading Rage, Harrisburg City Islanders, Western Mass Pioneers and USASA side Emigrantes Das Ilhas. The winner of the Harrisburg-Reading match will host their Second Round opponent.

In each of the seven other groups, one club is ensured of hosting the Second Round should they win their first contest. Those clubs are the Ocean City Barons, Carolina RailHawks, Miami FC Blues, Rochester Rhinos, Minnesota Thunder, Austin Aztex and Kitsap Pumas.

The Second Round winners will face the eight qualified clubs from Major League Soccer, who enter the tournament in the Third Round. The qualified clubs from MLS are the Chicago Fire, Chivas USA, Columbus Crew, Houston Dynamo, Kansas City Wizards, New England Revolution, Seattle Sounders and defending champion DC United.

United Soccer Leagues also announced that four First Round contests will be available on USLlive.com Tuesday, June 9. The Carolina RailHawks (vs Richmond Kickers – 7:00 pm ET), Rochester Rhinos (vs Pittsburgh Riverhounds – 7:00 pm ET), Charleston Battery (vs Atlanta FC – 7:30 pm ET) and Austin Aztex (vs Mississippi Brilla – 8:30 pm ET) of the USL First Division will be broadcasting their respective games free online via USL’s official broadband internet channel in cooperation with the United States Soccer Federation. It marks the third consecutive year that early round matches will be carried on USL Live. Watch USL games free any time live and on demand at USLlive.com.
