Professional Experience and Honors: 2007: Bulow re-joined the starting lineup upon his mid-season return to Richmond, adding six goals and two assists in 17 games played overall. He earned USL2 Team of the Week honors for his goal in the Kickers 4-1 win in Charlotte on July 14th. Notching the lone goal for the Kickers in the US Open Cup Third Round, Bulow made world news with the 1-0 shocking upset over MLS powerhouse LA Galaxy. 2006: A late-season addition, Bulow joined the Kickers from the Cape Cod Crusaders (PDL) upon the conclusion of the PDL season, just prior to the USL2 roster freeze date. Making his professional debut on August 5th against the Charlotte Eagles, Bulow appeared in every game to finish the season, starting two. He made an immediate impact on the squad by adding firepower with a goal and two assists in six games played.
College Experience and Honors: 2001: Bowdoin’s leading scorer for the third consecutive season, Bulow notched a career high 17 goals and five assists for 39 points. Garnering NSCAA Third Team All-American Division III honors, he was an All-New England and All-NESCAC First Team selection in his senior season. 2000: Finishing the season first on the team with nine goals and nine assists for 27 points, Bulow earned All-NESCAC Second Team honors for the second consecutive year, while also being named to the NSCAA All-New England Division III Third Team. 1999: In his second season at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, Bulow led the team with four goals and five assists for 13 points and was an All-NESCAC Second Team selection.
Bulow joined the Cape Cod Crusaders of the USL Premier Development League (PDL) and led the team to back-to-back PDL Championships (2003, 2004). After brief stints with Limavady United and Dungannon Swifts of the Irish League in 2005, Bulow rejoined the Crusaders in 2006 as a player/assistant coach. He finished the 2006 regular season second in scoring with Cape Cod with eight goals and three assists for 10 points and was responsible for two goals in the Crusader’s 3-0 PDL Eastern Conference semi-final win over Williamsburg on July 28th.
