Professional Experience and Honors: 2007: A native of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Jones anchored the central defense during the 2007 season, leading the team to the regular season title. A proven defensive authority, Jones started 19 of 19 games played and contributed to nine shutouts on the season. Doubling as an offensive threat, he notched his first goal in a Kickers uniform during Richmond’s 2-2 draw in Wilmington in July. 2006: Discovered at the Kickers pre-season combine, Jones joined the team prior to the 2006 campaign, making an immediate impact with the defensive unit. Starting 22 of all 22 games played, Jones anchored the Kickers defense, earning nine shutouts on the season as well as the USL2 regular season and USL2 Championship titles. A stalwart in the back line, Jones garnered USL2 Team of the Week honors four times during the season (5/30/06, 6/4/06, 7/10/06, 8/7/06) and was invited to train with DC United (MLS) following the conclusion of the Kickers season. 2005: With the Charleston Battery of USL First Division, Jones started and played one game during the 2005 campaign. 2004: Signing with the Battery, Jones appeared in 11 games for a total of 687 minutes in his rookie season before being sidelined through injury.
College Experiences and Honors: A proven offensive threat in the penalty area, Jones tallied two goals and an assist during his senior season at Wake Forest University. In 61 appearances over four seasons with the Deacons, Jones registered four goals and five assists for 13 points overall.
International Experience and Honors: Named the 2000 Virginia High School Player of the Year, Jones was a member of the Region I ODP and adidas ESP Teams with his international experience extending to the U-20 and U-17 National Team Pools.
