| Miguel played club soccer from the age of 11 with the Antelope Valley Sharks U14-U18 where in the 1998 & 1999 seasons his boys U18 team won the State Cup Championship. From 1996-1997 Miguel played for Antelope Valley High School where as a freshman he was starting goalkeeper for the varsity team. He received honorable mention for All League Boys Soccer and was named AVHS Most Valuable Player. In 1997-1998 as a sophomore Miguel was also the starting keeper. In 1998-1999 he transfered to Lancaster High School and a a junior was starting keeper for the varsity team and was awarded CIF All League Second Team & MVP. As a senior Miguel maintained his starting position. He was awarded CFSS Golden League First Team, Boys D-II All CIF Southern Section Soccer Second Team and Lancaster High School MVP. In 1999 MIguel was selected to participate with the Southern California ODP team and went to the ODP regional camp in Nampo, ID. In 2000 he was the Taft College starting keeper and at present Miguel is a proud member of the U.S. Navy Seabees, stationed in Oxnard, Ca. | |
