Tim joins the Dynamo for his first season having played the two previous seasons in the PDL with
West Virginia and most recently the Atlanta Silverbacks. Last season with
Atlanta , Tim appeared in 13 games starting 12, with one goal. In 2005 with the West Virginia Chaos, Tim led the team in minutes played (1237) while starting 15 matches. Bender red-shirted last season at
App. St
after suffering a late season knee injury with the Silverbacks. During his junior year at App, Tim appeared in all 18 matches, starting 11 recording four goals with one assist. While at Lees-McRae, Tim was named to the Carolina-Virginia Athletic Conference all-conference first team in 2003 and second team in 2004.
