 Bishop acquitted himself well in five starts in 2006. He posted three shutouts (tied for sixth in the league), including two in a row on May 27 (vs.
Pittsburgh ) and June 3 (vs.
Long Island ). His final start of the year (in which he sustained an injury that ended his season) was a six-save clean sheet at
Western Mass.
Bishop signed with
Harrisburg in May of 2005. The goalkeeper’s lone appearance of the season came as a field player, as he replaced midfielder Derek Potteiger for the final six minutes of the club’s season finale on August 13.
His career at
Lehigh
University culminated in outstanding junior and senior years: in 2003, he went 9-4-7 with a 0.64 goals against average, and in 2004, he posted a 7-4-2 mark and a 0.63 gaa. He earned All-Patriot League recognition both years.
