Lookingland comes to the City Islanders after one year with Major League Soccer’s Real Salt Lake (who selected him in the second round of the 2005 supplemental draft) and two seasons with the Baltimore Blast of the Major Indoor Soccer League.

At Bucknell, he started all 76 games of his career in central defense. His slew of honors at Bucknell included three three NSCAA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team selections; three All-Patriot League selections; and two Conference Defensive Player of the Year Awards. He was also the Patriot League Rookie of the Year in 2001 and was twice won Bucknell’s MVP award.

Lookingland has also participated in the Olympic Development Program and played two years (2003 and 2004) with the Chesapeake Dragons of the Premier Development League (PDL).
