He started playing at the collegiate level with Fresno State University, where his team won the Western Athletic Conference in 1998.  In his college team, Delgado was the leader in goals and assists.  He was also part of the All-MPSF First Team, and the MPSF Championship Tournament Team.  He was selected in the MLS Superdraft by LA Galaxy.  Later he played with Portland Timbers, a team of the USL 1st division.  In 2003 he played with the Syracuse Salty Dogs, and in 2004 with the Rochester Raging Rhinos.  In the 2005 season, Delgado became part of the Puerto Rico Islanders, which he will repeat this 2006 season.
