Now entering his seventh year with the club, Conway has led the Battery offense since 1998. In 2003, Conway scored the 2nd goal of the Charleston Battery’s National Championship 3-0 victory over the Minnesota Thunder. In addition to numerous scoring titles, he was named Offensive Player of the Year by the Charleston Battery fans in 2001and 2002 and received A-League All First Team and MVP honors in 2001. His 27 goals during the 2001 season equaled the all-time Charleston Battery single season record. He is now the all-time leading scorer for the Battery (86), all-time leader in points (203), and the all-time leader in Games Started (166).
An All American in 1989 at Hartwick, Conway started his pro career in 1993 with Carlisle United of the English Football League. He played 107 games for Carlisle, scoring 30 goals before moving to Northampton Town in 1997. Conway played in two games at England’s famed Wembley Stadium, winning the Auto Windshields Cup and a League Championship medal in 1995.
