Behonick returns to the Battery for his second pro season. Behonick suffered a broken-hand early in the 2003 season and as a result saw limited action.

A native of Bohemia, NY Behonick was a three year starter at American University. AU and Behonick progressed to the NCAA tournament in 2001 and 2002, losing on both occasions in the sweet-16 stage of the competition.

Behonick was originally drafted by DC United in the 2002 MLS Superdraft.
