Vancouver:
Nash returned to Vancouver last season after a four year hiatus; Nash previously played for Vancouver in the 1995, 1996 and 1999 seasons. In his first year back with the club he played in 25 games, netting three goals and assisting on three. In 83 games with Vancouver, Nash has scored 11 goals and added 16 assists.
Martin, a native of Victoria, spends his Sunday afternoon’s as a coach for the Whitecaps Academy. Martin and his wife Emma are the proud parents of two beautiful children.
Set a Vancouver club record for fastest goal from the opening kickoff Aug 23, 1995 when he scored after just 24 seconds in a 2-1 win over Colorado.
National Team:
Nash has represented Canada in 30 international matches since 1997, scoring twice. His most recent appearance was in a friendly versus Barbados on January 18, 2004. He has earned eleven U-23 caps for Canada during qualifying for the 1996 Olympics and nine U-20 caps for Canada.
North America:
In the 2003 season, Nash played for the Montreal Impact under head coach Bob Lilley. Prior to Montreal, Nash was a member of the Rochester Raging Rhinos from 2000-03, winning the A-League Championship in 2000 and 2001. Nash was named to the Second Team All-Star team in 2000 and was All A-League in 1996.
Nash was named NPSL Rookie of the Year while playing indoor soccer with the Edmonton Drillers during the 1998-99 season.
Overseas:
Spent two seasons, 1996-1998, with Stockport County, then of the English Second and then First Division. He also briefly played with Chester City of the English Third Division in 1999. He played on loan for Macclesfield Town of the English Third Division early in 2003.
