Alfredo Valente enters his eighth season with the Caps. The native of Burnaby, BC tallied two goals and assisted on three in 24 games last year. Valente ranks eighth in team all-time scoring with 28 goals and 30 assists in 169 games.   In 2002, Valente led Vancouver in assists with 10, finishing tied for fifth overall in the A-League. Valente lead Vancouver in scoring in 2000 and in 1998 he was named Vancouver's Top Rookie as a 17-year-old. He was Vancouver's top pick in the 1998 A-League draft, fresh out of Alpha Secondary School.

Valente is a former member of both the Canadian U-20 and U-23 teams.
