Morris was named the Supporter's Club Unsung Hero in 2001 and Player of the Year in 2002. A product of Burnaby youth soccer and the Burnaby Canadians, Morris came up through Vancouver's reserve team in Abbotsford where he was named 1999 USL Premier Development League Rookie of the Year, finishing sixth in PDL scoring with 14 goals in 15 games. Morris was also seen time in the indoor soccer league NPSL with the Milwaukee Wave.
Amateur
Morris was named 1999 USL Premier Development League Rookie of the Year, finishing sixth in PDL scoring with 14 goals in 15 games while playing for Vancouver's reserve team, the Abbotsford 86ers. He was a star player in the 1998 UMBRO/86ers Development League with Burnaby.
