Lyall returns for his seventh season with the club, having played 91 career games as a Whitecap. In 2002, he was named Vancouver's Defender of the Year by the Supporter's Club despite missing 14 games with an early-season hamstring injury.

Amateur:

 

Lyall, a former standout at the University of Victoria, came up through Vancouver's reserve team in 1999.
