Last year Ali played for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL Pro Soccer League, now known as the USL Second Division.

 

Ali scored a team-high 15 goals, including seven game winning goals and also added four assists in his rookie campaign. The Riverhounds finished first overall with a 17-2-1 record. For his efforts he was named USL Pro Soccer League Rookie of the Year finishing third in league scoring and second in goals. Ali was also named to the PSL Team of the Week eight times and Player of the Week once.

 

Ali attended Robert Morris University where he was named to the All-Northeast Conference first team in 2002 and 2003.  He scored 11 goals and three assists in 2002 and netted 13 goals and added four assists in 2003 to finish his college career with 55 points.

 

Ali played for Jordan’s under-16 national team in 1994 and 1995 before moving to Canada with his family in 1996. He became a Canadian citizen in 1998.
