Professional Experience and Honors:
2003-2004: An experienced veteran, Williams joins the Kickers after an extensive 15-year career in the English Premiership and Championship (First Division in England).  On a free-transfer, Williams signed a two-year contract with Stoke City FC of the English Championship in 2003.  The 6’0" defender appeared in 19 League games with Stoke City, starting 16 during the 2003/2004 season before his 2004/2005 season was hampered by injury.

2001-2003: After 160 appearances with Coventry City (1995-2001), Williams joined Southampton of the English Premiership on loan in 2001, making the move permanent soon after.  A FA Cup Finalist with Southampton, Williams appeared in over 40 matches from 2001-2003. 

1995-2001: In 1995, Williams moved to Coventry City (English First Division) and was named Player of the Year in his first season.  He made 160 appearances with the Sky Blues over six seasons.

1989-1995: The 33-year old joined Derby County of the English First Division in 1989 as a trainee and made 160 appearances over the next six seasons.  After a brief stint with Lincoln City, Williams tallied 26 goals with Derby County and was named Derby County’s Young Player of the Year. 
 
International Experience:
Equally comfortable in central defense and midfield, Williams won six England U-21 caps as a midfielder.
