Professional Experience and Honors:
2004: An offensive threat on the left side of the field, Joey was the Kickers leading point scorer in the first third of the 2004 season and finished the season tied for fourth in points (13) and goals scored (5). Starting 26 of 30 games played, Worthen was an A-League Team of the Week selection for two consecutive weeks early in the season (4/26/04, 5/03/04).
2003: Worthen played in 23 games for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds scoring one goal and notching two assists for three points total.
2002: Worthen was drafted by the Pittsburgh Riverhounds in the second round of A-League College Draft and led the team in minutes with 2247 in 28 games. He was the only player to appear in all 28 games, leading the team in assists (7). He was named Riverhounds Rookie of the Year.
College Experience and Honors:
At South Carolina, Worthen was named to NSCAA All-South First Team in 2001. He scored 25 goals and notched 15 assists over four seasons and led the Gamecocks to a 12-5-2 record in 2001. He played for the under-20 National Team in 1999 and has PDL experience after playing 14 games for the Cape Cod Crusaders.
