Professional Experience and Honors: 2004: As a rookie, Cephas led the Kickers in points (28) and goals (12) and was a 2004 A-League Rookie of the Year finalist. He was responsible for two goals against D.C. United (MLS) in the July 21st U.S. Open Cup Fourth Round and garnered A-League Team of the Week honors for his game-winning goal in Montreal on July 3rd. Starting 10 of 29 games played, McColm accounted for the most game-winning goals on the team with five and was ranked in the top 10 point leaders and top 10 goal scorers in the A-League.
College Experience and Honors: 2003: McColm led the team and the CAA with 17 goals, the second in VCU history for a single season. 2002: Cephas finished second on the team with 18 points on six goals and six assists. He played in 19 games, starting 14 and led VCU with 60 shots. Prior to VCU: Cephas played at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA the previous two seasons.
Cephas is a dangerous offensive player with excellent speed and technical skill. He earned 56 career points for the Rams in 41 games. A member of the Richmond Kickers Future (PDL) in 2003, Cephas scored eight goals in 11 games for a total of 17 points.
International Experience: Cephas earned his first international cap appearing in two World Cup Qualifying matches with the Liberian National Team on September 4, 2004 in Lusaka, Zambia followed by a second appearance with his national team on October 8, 2004 in his hometown of Monrovia, Liberia.
