In 2004, helped the Impact play 12 straight games without a loss (8-0-4), a club record, and go on to win the championship title... Helped the Impact finish first in overall standings in 2003, tied with the Milwaukee Wave United... In 2002, helped the team finish first in the Northeast Division, tied with the Rochester Raging Rhinos... Played his first two USL seasons with the Hershey Wildcats, in 2000 and 2001... Was proclaimed Hershey’s Rookie of the Year in 2000... The following season, helped Hershey post the best record (16-7-3) and the best offence (45 goals scored) in the Northern Conference, in addition to reaching the championship game...
INTERNATIONAL Made his pro debut in his native country, Brazil... Played three seasons with Tuna Luso Brasileira, a 2nd-division team at the national level and a 1st-division team at the State level... Also played for Palmeiras Corinthes and Seà San Carlese... As a member of the Hershey Wildcats, was picked on a select team of USL players that toured Portugal to face the reserve teams of Benfica and Sporting, as well as the U-21 Portuguese national team...
2002 SEASON Was proclaimed Impact Newcomer of the Year, among the team’s 10 candidates who were in their first year with the team... Had his best season in three years up to that point in the USL, with a production of six goals, four assists and 16 points, good for second place among Impact scorers... Was selected on the Team of the Week following the 15th week of activity, after tallying one goal and one assist in a 3-0 victory against the Hampton Roads Mariners, July 24... Had his best moments at a key period, scoring four goals and two assists during a very busy month of August — 10 games in 28 days, including seven on the road... Had a string of four games with a goal August 14 to 25, three of his goals being game-winners... Scored the winner in a 3-0 victory against the Whitecaps, August 25 in Vancouver, to allow the Impact to win the Voyageurs Cup, awarded to the best Canadian team in the league... Was one of six Impact players to finish the season with over 2,000 minutes played...
2003 SEASON Finished second among Impact scorers for the second straight season, with six goals and five assists for 17 points, three less than Mauro Biello... That was the best offensive output of his four-season career in the league... In spite of his small size, scored all six goals on headers... Was picked on the league’s second all-star team, his first career selection... Had two game-winning goals and a game-tying goal... Collected four goals and four assists in road games to help the Impact come up with the league’s best road record (10-3-1)... Overall, the Impact was 6-0-2 in the regular season when he was on the scoreboard... Was picked on the Team of the Week for the fouth week of activity, after scoring two goals in a 2-0 victory against the Lynx, May 10 in Toronto... That was his first two-goal game with the Impact, in his second season with the team... Was again picked on the Team of the Week after scoring the equalizer in a 1-1 tie against the Mariners, May 24 at Virginia Beach... Was also picked on the Team of the Week following the 15th week, when he collected one goal and one assist in a 2-1 win against the Silverbacks, July 26 in Atlanta... His performance helped the Impact regain first place in the Northeast Division... Was one of five Impact players to finish the season with over 2,000 minutes played... With Mauro Biello, was the only Impact player to play in each of the team’s 28 regular-season games...
2004 SEASON Played over the winter for the Philadelphia Kixx in the Major Indoor Soccer League... Signed a new three-year deal with the Impact, although he became a free agent at the end of the 2003 season... Won the Impact’s Unsung Hero Award... Played in 22 games, each time as a starter, for a total of 2,032 minutes of play… Was one of five Montreal players to play more than 2,000 minutes… Played a key role defensively, collecting 65 fouls, the fourth highest total in the league… Scored two goals, one game-winner August 25 in a 2-0 win over Edmonton and the other one July 21 in a 2-0 win over Calgary… Started all five playoff games for the maximum possible of 450 minutes of play, a team high… Was on the starting eleven for the championship final, which the Impact won 2-0, against the Seattle Sounders on Sept. 18… Had two assists during the playoffs... Set up Mauricio Vincello’s game-winning goal in the championship game…
