A Bulgarian native, was brought up in Halifax… As a member of the Saint Mary’s Huskies, was awarded the Joe Johnson Memorial Trophy in 2001 and 2003, as the Canadian Interuniversity Sport men’s soccer Player of the Year... Became only the second two-time recipient of that award… Played five years for Saint Mary’s… Represented Canada at the World University Games in South Korea in August 2003... Joined the A-League Calgary Mustangs in 2004, then the Impact for the 2005 season... 2004 SEASON Was Calgary’s second leading scorer with five goals and two assists… In 25 games, played 2,202 minutes and had 42 shots and 36 fouls… 2005 SEASON Joined the Impact after Calgary folded… Signed a one-year contract with the Impact on March 30…
