Prior to attending UVA, Sean was an NSCAA All-America Scholar Athlete and an All-South choice. Playing for his high school he was named the regional and district player of the year in 2003. In his two years at UVA Sean has compiled five points in helping the Cavaliers reach the NCAA tournament both years.
