Professional Experience and Honors:
2002: Peter had another stellar year on the back line as he started 36 games for the Kickers. He was named to the A-League Team of the Week four times and played more minutes than any other Kicker, with 3,354. He also recorded 3 goals over the course of the season.
2001: Peter Luzak became a mainstay on the Kickers defensive “back four” in 2001, tallying 2,302 minutes in 30 games played. This intimidating athletic defender has also produced some offense for the Kickers with 2 goals.
2000: As a rookie for the Richmond Kickers, Peter became an offensive threat and earned the nickname “super sub”. In his substitute role, Peter went on to score a goal in four consecutive games, with three of the goals being game-winners. Peter played mostly in the left midfield and left defender positions and finished the season with 5 goals in 27 games played. On 5/24/00, Peter was named to the A-League team of the week (Week 7) during the middle of his goal-scoring streak.
College Experience and Honors:
A three-time first team All-CAA selection, a three-time Virginia State SID selection, and a three-time All-South Atlantic Region honoree…Luzak is a versatile player who is dangerous in the midfield and a stalwart on defense. In his four years at the University of Richmond, Luzak accumulated 7 goals and 20 assists for 34 points.
He was named to numerous All-Tournament teams throughout college including the: Wake Forest Nike Classic, UR Nike Challenge Cup, Adidas Rutgers Men’s Soccer Classic, UCONN Soccer Classic, and Ohio State Nike Classic.
Personal:
Graduated at the University of Richmond with a degree in speech communications. Has two dogs and enjoys playing Nintendo 64 with his buddies.
