Professional Experience and Honors:
2002: Drafted 3rd overall (first open round) in the 2002 A-League College Draft by the Kickers. Armando started just one game for Richmond during the 2002 season, making four saves on 16 shots against the Charlotte Eagles on 8/23/02.
College Experience and Honors:
1998-2001: Armando became just the second player in Mid-Continent Conference history to be chosen for the Umbro Select All-Star Classic. He was named First Team All Mid-Continent Conference for the third straight season, named to the All-Tournament Team for third straight season and was named Honorable Mention All-American by College Soccer News. He finished his career as the school leader in shutouts with 27. Armando was chosen as the Mid-Continent Conference Player of the Week twice during his senior campaign. He finished ninth in the nation with 6.4 saves per match in 2001. IUPUI finished 21st in the nation that year in shutout percentage, turning in shutouts in 43 percent of their matches. Armando posted a career-high 12 saves in his final collegiate game against UMKC and had a double-overtime shutout against Wisconsin-Green Bay when he posted 10 saves.
