Challenge Of PDL Welcomed By Village Goalkeeper glad for opportunity Fraser Valley offers players At first glance, it wouldn’t appear that Fraser Valley Mariners goalkeeper Mark Village had the most positive summer in the PDL. Despite finishing with a goals-against average of 2.585 on a side that didn’t win once, reflecting on his season Village was pleased with the amount of growth that he and his teammates showed competing in the notoriously difficult Northwest Division. “I’ve never faced that many shots before in my life, and it was such a good level that it really grew me as a player,” Village said by phone recently.
