On a sunny night at UBC’s Thunderbird Stadium, Vancouver Whitecaps FC U-23 came back to defeat the Kitsap Pumas 2-1 to open their 2013 PDL season. The 'Caps lineup featured two loanees from the MLS roster in goalkeeper Simon Thomas and defender Adam Clement. Just six minutes into the match, Pumas striker Sebastiaan Jansen took a chance against Thomas.
