Going into their first away trip of the 2011 season expectations were high for a new look Baton Rouge Capitals team that achieved franchise records last season. Unfortunately for the side things didn’t turn out the way they had hoped. On a hot Thursday night at the impressive home of the West Texas Sockers the Capitals fell by a score of 2-1. The Capitals started the game well creating three clear-cut opportunities but were thwarted by the efforts of the West Texas goalkeeper.
