Defender and Pittsburgh Riverhounds Team Captain Nathan Salsi appeared in all 20 USL games for Pittsburgh in 2008, logging 1,799 minutes (a team high) and scoring two goals on 11 shots. 2008 marked his fourth season over the past five years with the Hounds.
A solid and skillful defender, Nathan was All-USL Division 2 in both 2004 and 2005. While playing collegiately at Duquesne University, Salsi was a three-year co-captain for the Dukes, compiling four goals and five assists during his senior season in 2002 on a team that finished 13-3-5. A native of North Huntingdon, Pa. and a Norwin High School graduate, Salsi was named to the Atlantic 10 Honor Roll during his Duquesne career.
