Veteran defender Matt Bobo comes to the Battery after spending the last three seasons with the Atlanta Silverbacks. A native of Des Moines, IA, Bobo 6-1, 180 lbs., 31 yrs., played a total of 79 games for the Silverbacks recording 2 goals and 2 assists.
Prior to Atlanta Bobo also had spells with the Richmond Kickers and the Milwaukee Wave United, where he was a member of the championship winning team in 2002. Prior to turning pro Bobo attended Eastern Illinois University and the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Bobo also won consecutive PDL championships with Chicago Soccers. | |
