RICHMOND, VA – The Richmond Kickers Destiny fell, 4-0 to the Tampa Bay Hellenic in Richmond Saturday evening. After holding the Hellenic scoreless in the first half, the Destiny let up four second half goals to fall to 1-9-0 on the season. The Hellenic lead the Atlantic Division with a record of 8-1-2.

The first goal came in the 54th minute when Tampa’s Jasmine Johnson dribbled through the midfield, passed the ball to an onrushing Rachel Fell, who took one touch in open space, 1v1 with goalkeeper and snuck it by the near post.

The Hellenic’s season goal was scored when Shana Hudson chipped a ball over the top of the Kickers’ defenders to find Stacy Bishop, who settled the ball and buried it past a charging Allie Albright.

Bishop continued to increase the Hellenic’s lead in the 81st minute, threading a ball through the defense and finding Johnson, who carried the ball into the box ball and blasted it into the left corner for a 3-0 advantage.

One minute later, defensive miscommunication gave the ball away to a wide open Fell, who slipped it past onrushing Albright for her second goal of the match.
