NEWARK, NJ -- The Ottawa Fury (5-1-0) remain undefeated after a 4-1 victory Sunday over the Newark Ironbound Express (5-6-0), the team that edged Ottawa in a tiebreaker for the final playoff spot last season.

Paul Kihara looked to get the Fury off on the right foot and would find goal in the 24th minute slotting home a Liam Maloney pass for his first of the season.

Kihara's goal would be the lone marker of the first half and the Fury carried a 1-0 lead into the dressing room.

Still stinging from their 1-1 draw the previous night against Brooklyn, the Fury looked to capitalize early into the second half.

Brien Chamney headed an Andrew Rigby free kick giving Ottawa a 2-goal cushion through 67 minutes. A short time later the Fury's offence broke loose again when PDL Team of the Week member Will Beague made a perfect pass to Liam Maloney who notched his third of the season, putting the Fury in the driver's seat.

Oral Bullen broke the shutout in the 89th minute, but Florian DeCamps replied in the very next minute as the Fury collected a valuable three points against Newark and four points overall this weekend.

Next Game:
Tuesday, June 16 at 6pm at the Algonquin College Soccer Complex.
