DENVILLE, NJ -- The Brooklyn Knights rallied on the road Saturday to earn a 2-1 victory over the New Jersey Rangers.

With a crop of new faces in the lineup for the Rangers, the beginning stages of the game were dominated by Brooklyn. Knights sharp possession game kept the home team on their heels as they looked for an early lead.

Rangers Keeper John Weber kept the Knights at bay making some nice saves to keep the game scoreless.

But Brooklyn finally broke through in the 22nd minute as winger Gennaro Ferrante came off the left side and beat Weber with a low shot to the far post.

The Rangers began to pick up their game from there and created a few opportunities to level the game but could not find the finishing touch.

The equalizer finally came in the 45th minute as a cross from John Okafor was bicycle kicked into he net by Rangers striker Dritan Sela. The show-stopping goal was scored just before the referee blew the halftime whistle.

With renewed confidence, the Rangers looked like a different team in the second half.

With opportunities being wasted at one end, it took just one at the other as Brooklyn's Matia Damiani crossed the ball inside the penalty area to find forward Mathias Carrizzo, who snuck behind the defense and finished a header into the upper corner to give the Knights the lead for good.

The Knights next game will be a home game @ Aviator Sports Center, Brooklyn, NY on Tuesday June 2nd vs, Long Island Rough Riders 8:00 pm.
